“Inner Child”

For my exhibition, “The Pillars of Friendship,” this semi-sculptural painting represents the pillar of the inner child. It depicts a scene from my 14th birthday, and I still hear the soundtrack of laughter! 

Play is precious - it connects us to one another, heals us, simultaneously rests and energizes us, and allows perspective for things that truly matter. The secret sauce is not taking yourself too seriously, and being okay with things going off-script, like falling over in a game of Twister!
